Number Talks: Facilitating Math Discourse to Build Conceptual Understanding (Grades K-6)
Number talks are brief conversations around purposefully designed computation problems. During this break-out-session we will learn about the key characteristics of successful number talks and how they can be used as a routine to build students’ procedural fluency through conceptual understanding. You will leave with a tool and a list of resources to support your implementation of number talks within your classroom.
