As the past assistant director for curriculum services at the Region 7 Education Service Center (ESC), Silvey has brought a wealth of experience to the position. The veteran educator has spent the last 18 years at the Region 7 ESC after serving for ten years as a math and special education teacher. Jane Silvey earned her Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Texas A&M Commerce. She also holds certifications in secondary math, elementary education, and special education. Mrs. Silvey is known for her extensive work on House Bill 5, a bill that established new high school graduation requirements.
